The travel, food and cultural photographs presented here aim to capture vanishing moments with personality and character that matches their subject, an interesting angle as well as light and brightness of colours.
Sam’s work is created through not just a passionate love of recording light through a lens but the need for affordable photography by her clients for whom she acts as a freelance content manager and copywriter. It was also in part inspired by the kind encouragement she received for her photographic services during her work on the travel guide blog, LifeinAbruzzo. She was invited to be a Getty Images Contributor in 2012.
Sam’s grandfather, a photographer and rostrum cameraman, first captured her interest in photography playing with his collection of vintage glass plate cameras and dabbling in his outhouse black room. This interest in photography was further stimulated during her time working at one of London’s leading rare books dealers, Bernard Shapero Ltd., and the wonderful travel photography collections that passed through their shop & gallery.
